Jane Flynn was raised in Pacific Palisades, in Los Angeles, California. As a young person, she was about as far removed from agriculture as possible but she became intimately involved with it after moving to Gerber, CA as a young bride. Mrs. Flynn raised six children on the farm before becoming a "farmer by default" after her husband's untimely death in a plane accident in 1986. She felt a responsibility to the men who worked for her husband and her family to keep Pacific Farms going. In the years since Mr. Flynn's death, Pacific Farms has continued to innovate and Mrs. Flynn credits the operation's success to the farm's experienced management team.
Brendon Flynn is a third generation farmer who was born and raised in Tehama County in Northern California. Pacific Farms was originally started by his grandfather in 1952. Brendon holds a B.S. in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
After working in many different areas and disciplines related to agri-business, Brendon decided to return to his family's farming operation to pursue a career in production agriculture. His focus on diversifying the scope of Pacific Farm's business and the desire to bring a product directly "from the field to the consumer" has led to the Pacific Sun venture.
Leslie joined Pacific Sun in 2005. She was raised in Southern California and became involved in the business through her sister, who is married to Brendon Flynn. Leslie is involved in the tasting, blending, sale and distribution of Pacific Sun’s olive oil. She enjoys promoting the nutritional & healthy benefits of good, fresh California olive oil. Fall is Leslie’s favorite time of year at Pacific Sun because that is when milling begins and when the new olive oils are tasted for the first time.
Winner of the 2015 California Olive Oil Council Miller's Recognition Award, Pablo joined Pacific Sun in March 2011. Pablo's wealth of experience working with other producers of fine California extra virgin olive oils is a great asset to the Pacific Sun team. Pablo sits on the California Olive Oil Council tasting panel and the UC Davis tasting panel. He will assist Pacific Sun with milling and blending the olive oils, and also with sales.
