Childhood friends, the Farmer and the Classicist decided to merge their talents. The genesis of the project was a desire to craft a product that can bring consumers closer to their agrarian roots. The result is Pacific Sun Olive Oil. Pacific Sun is produced by Pacific Farms and Orchards, Inc. of Gerber, California. Pacific Farms is a woman-owned, family run, sustainable agricultural operation. Produced from select Northern California Olives taken from the field and milled immediately, Pacific Sun Extra Virgin Olive Oil is additive free, and 100% natural.

The Farmer - Brendon Flynn

Brendon Flynn is a third generation farmer who was born and raised in Tehama County in Northern California. Pacific Farms was originally started by his grandfather in 1952. Brendon holds a B.S. in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

After working in many different areas and disciplines related to agri-business, Brendon decided to return to his family's farming operation to pursue a career in production agriculture. His focus on diversifying the scope of Pacific Farm's business and the desire to bring a product directly "from the field to the consumer" has led to the Pacific Sun venture.

The Classicist - Brian Kenny

Brian Kenny is a third generation San Franciscan who became a proponent of agricultural awareness while growing up in Shasta and Tehama counties. He believes that everyone should know from where their food comes.

He holds a B.A. in Classical Civilization from the University of California at Berkeley. He was a member of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece and attended graduate school at San Francisco State University.

After a career in high technology and freelance writing, Brian became involved in agriculture and the Pacific Sun venture.
